SCAD Sand Arts Festival under way on Tybee | News
TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC)- Savannah College of Art and Design's annual Sand Arts Festival will take place May 4 on Tybee Island.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will feature competitions in sand castle design, sand sculpture, sand relief and wind sculpture. Contestants may work individually or in teams.
With $5,000 in prize money at stake, the 2012 festival is expected to draw student sand sculptors from all SCAD majors.
