8th Annual Turtle Trot Beach Run set for April 28 | Events

TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) - Help benefit the Tybee Island Sea Turtle project and kick off Coastal Georgia’s Sea Turtle Nesting Season at the 8th Annual Turtle Trot Run/Walk on April 28.
Registration at the pier will start at 7a.m., or you can pre-register online at active.com. The 5K Beach Run will step off at 8 a.m. from the Tybee Island Marine Center, located next to the Tybee Pier. Cost is $25 for non-members, $20 for Science Center members. Pre-register by April 17 for a free tee-shirt and to order additional shirts.
Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in age group and over all male/female. After the race, the Georgia State Turtle Center will release a loggerhead sea turtle patient back into the ocean.
